This tutorial will walk you through How to Make Celery Juice in 3 simple steps plus 7 Health Benefits of adding celery juice to your morning routine.
Since reading Medical Medium Liver Rescue after having Eczema and Psoriasis flare-ups, I immediately purchased a masticating juicer to make my own celery juice in the mornings.

The book walks you through your liver functionalities and how mornings are key to healing your liver. Your liver wakes up 3-4 hours before you do to start working to detox your body and release toxins.
Medical Medium recommends starting your morning with a lemon or lime water flush to clear everything out followed by CELERY JUICE 20-30 minutes later.

There are a few devices you can use to make celery juice:
Masticating Juicer:
I highly recommend investing in a masticating juicer if you are committed to juicing. Masticating juicers are pricier but absolutely worth the higher cost as they extract nutrients far more than any other method. Here are a few I recommend:
- Hurom Slow Juicer – This is the juicer i own & love. Plus it looks so chic in my kitchen with a small, sleek, white appearance. They also have a fun mint green and pink juicer as purchase options. Love how quick & easy it is with a fast clean-up!
- Aicok Slow Masticating Juicer – My sisters use this and swear by it. This is a cheaper option than the Huron ($150), and just a tad bulkier. They love how quick this juices and also a quick and easy clean-up!
High-Speed Blender:
If you do not own a juicer and already have a blender on hand, then this is a more cost effective method to begin your juicing journey. Keep in mind however that nutrients will be lost in the process and in the long run you are better off purchasing a masticating juicer noted above to maximize the juicing benefits. However, if you choose to start with a high speed blender, these are the two I would recommend:
- Vitamix: Any model will be effective in getting the consistency you need when blending the celery. This is the model I use which has worked great for me and comes with a 7 year warranty.
- Ninja: You will need to break up your celery into smaller pieces for this to work but this is another great option to get the consistency you need.
If you use a high-speed blender you will need to strain the blend with either a cheese clock or nut milk bag (I use Ellie’s Best – kat10 for 10% off on website).
Here’s What you Need:
- One full stalk of celery
- Choice of juicer or high-speed blender
- Glass or Mason Jar for drinking
Juicer Directions:
- Assemble juicer according to instructions
- Wash celery stalk in full under running water
- Break off celery piece from stalk and trim any leaves or white stems
- Insert celery into juicer and use cup/mason jar to catch juice
- Repeat inserting celery into juicer until full stalk juiced
- Toss excess celery leaves and white stems and pulp from juicer
- Chug up & enjoy!
High Speed Blender Directions:
- Wash celery stalk in full under running water
- Break off celery piece from stalk and trim any leaves or white stems
- Place in blender and blend on low-medium speed until liquidy
- Use cheesecloth or nut milk bag to squeeze out the juice into a bowl
- Pour bowl over funnel into glass or jar for drinking
- Enjoy!
I have been drinking a full glass (one entire celery stalk) in the mornings, 30 minutes after chugging lemon or lime water, on an empty stomach. Now at this point you may be thinking, what the heck is the point of doing this? It may seem like a lot of work to some of you, or a silly diet fad to others. However, there a variety of incredible health benefits to incorporating celery juice into your daily routine summarized below:
7 Health Benefits of Drinking Celery Juice:
- Gut Health. Celery juice removes mucus out of the intestinal tract and contains bioactive compound called apigenin that helps with stomach inflammation. Celery juice also increases production of the seven-acid blend of hydrochloric acid in the stomach which helps break down food in the stomach.
- Anti-Inflammatory with high levels of antioxidants that flush toxins from the body. Celery juice helps eliminate pathogens in the body which are the root cause of inflammation.
- Liver Health. They also restore hydrochloric acid over time and help the liver to produce bile, both of which are critical not only for strong digestion but to help kill off pathogens.
- Healing Mineral Salts: Celery juice contains sodium cluster salts that starve and fight off unwanted pathogens and bacteria–troublemakers. These can lead to a variety of symptoms and conditions including autoimmune diseases. These salt clusters neutralize toxins such as copper, mercury, and aluminum that are a key contributor to all kinds of illnesses.
- Loaded with minerals & vitamins. Fresh celery provides a source of vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium, folate, manganese, calcium, riboflavin, magnesium, and vitamin B6. These vitamins are a great way to boost your immune system and nourish the blood. It also has a high percentage of water and electrolytes that can help prevent dehydration.
- Lowers Blood Pressure by purifying the blood stream as half the carbohydrates come from fiber rather than sugar. This leads to healthier blood that the heart can pump with ease.
- Skin health. Celery juice is known to IMPROVE a variety of skin issues including psoriasis, eczema, acne, & more. The mineral salts in celery are toxic to bacteria, including streptococcus in the liver and lymphatic system, which is the true root cause of acne.

How to Drink Celery Juice:
REMEMBER to drink celery juice 20-30 minutes after a fresh lemon water to flush your system out. If you have a hard time adjusting to the taste, you can add cucumber or apple to begin & slowly transition to pure transition celery juice. The taste definitely will grow on you over time.
